Directly connect to a Moku via its network IP address
If your Moku is connected to a wired ethernet or wireless wifi network, you can connect to it directly even if it is not automatically discovered. This is useful if your network configuration doesn't allow for automatic discovery, such as when you're connecting over some types of VPN.
iPad
In the iPad app, simply tap on the '?’ button which appears in the bottom left corner of the “Select your device” screen, then choose “Other device…” and enter your Moku IP address.
Windows and macOS
To manually connect to a Moku in the desktop app:
- In the "Select your device" page, click the settings cog in the bottom right corner.
- Click "Device" -> "Manual connection".
- Enter the IP address of the Moku, click "Connect" to launch the device.
Troubleshooting
TCP ports 27182-27186 must be open to connect to a Moku. If you're having trouble connecting, please check your firewall settings both on your computer or iPad, and at the network level with your IT professional if applicable.
