Each Moku's firmware can be updated from either the iPad or Desktop app. The process is the same whether you are using the iPad or Desktop app. This article will explain how to update from either app. Moku:Go is the only exception because there is no iPad app, so it must be updated from the Desktop app.
You will know that your Moku is ready for a firmware update when their is an orange exclamation indicator next to the device card. This typically will happen after a new software release and update.
Tap, or click, on the device card and you will be prompted to update your Moku. This can be done over WiFi, Ethernet, or USB-C.
Once you have initiated the firmware update, you will receive a pop-up message similar to the one below (it will vary based on which Moku you have).
Take extra care not to turn off your Moku before it has finished updating the firmware. Once the LEDs indicate the firmware update process is complete, power down your Moku completely then turn it back on. Moku:Pro will restart automatically once the firmware update is complete.
For more information on what the LEDs on your Moku indicate, please see this article.
