New instruments can be added to Moku hardware by purchasing from the store. Sometimes new instruments are made available at no cost for existing customers as a part of a feature release. In order to get these instruments to appear on your device, a manual update may be required. Your computer or iPad must be connected to the internet in order to retrieve the license. It does not have to be connected to the Moku to retrieve the license, so if you're using Access Point mode you may disconnect from the Moku until the steps below are complete.
On the Desktop app (Windows/MacOS)
Once you are connected to your Moku and your computer has internet access, click the settings wheel on the bottom right of the screen and hover 'Device' then click 'Configuration'.
In the pop-up window, enter your Moku device's serial number (for help finding your Moku's serial number, click here) and select either Moku:Go or Moku:Pro depending on the device you have. Then click Download.
On the iPad app
Once you are connected to your Moku and your iPad has internet access, tap the question mark on the bottom left of the screen and then tap 'Configuration'
In the pop-up window, enter your Moku device's serial number (for help finding your Moku's serial number, click here) and select either Moku:Go or Moku:Pro depending on the device you have. Then tap Download.
Connecting to the Moku
Once complete, you should be able to connect again to your device and see the new instruments. The updated license is loaded on to the Moku itself so you can now switch between computers and iPads without changing the instrument entitlement.
