With the release of Moku Cloud Compile (MCC), users have the ability to deploy their own custom HDL code to the FPGA onboard Moku. For more information, visit the MCC page on our website. Once the HDL is written and synthesized, the resulting downloadable file is a bitstream in .tar format. This bitstream is able to be uploaded to the FPGA via the app.
To start, open the app and deploy Multi-instrument mode (MiM), as MCC cannot be deployed as a single instrument. Once multi-instrument mode is open, add MCC to one of the slots in the MiM configuration.

With MCC in one of the slots, click on button with three dots, which will prompt ‘Upload bitstream…’. Once ‘Upload bitstream…’ is pressed, the file manager will open and the bitstream can be selected. Finally, press ‘Apply changes’ and your custom FPGA code will be uploaded and ready to use.
